Space cadettes: Two women prepare for blast-off
I’ve been following Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic, the world’s first commercial spaceline, since it launched more than 10 years ago. With blast-off delayed numerous times since 2012, it’s looking like SpaceShipTwo will finally see space in early 2015 from Spaceport America in New Mexico.
Thrilling!
While a host of celebrities have signed up for the $250K ticket, some more earthly beings are among the 700 or so explorers on the wait list for the six-passenger ship.
Lina Borozdina and Anousheh Ansari share a life-long love of space. So much so that they made life-altering decisions to make their dreams of space travel a reality. Listen as their stories collide in this episode of New Tech City as these women prepare to take the giant leap.
Want to join them? Here’s the booking page. If I could be with you ladies, I would.
What about you, is space travel in your future? What would your space playlist(s) be?
