LEO + you and the US Senate elections

interactive maps, US senatorial elections, predictions, voting,

How good are you at predicting outcomes? The control of the US Senate is up for grabs in the upcoming midterms. Here’s your chance to add your two cents, and predict the winners in 36 states.

The New York Times has developed LEO, an interactive statistical model combining polling, fund-raising data and other variables to forecast win probabilities for each of the races. Post-elections, the most accurate forecaster will win the coveted (ahem!) Upshot Cup for Excellence in Election Forecasting. Who wouldn’t want that honor.

The elections will be held on 4 november 2014. Of the 36 Senate seats to be decided, 21 of those currently seated are Democrats and 15 are Republicans.
