The big list: Places to go galivanting in 2014
Travel trends come and go. A location that’s the place to be one year can be downlisted fast by currency exchange shifts, the local political scene, and traditional and social media. According to Google’s 2013 Traveler study, more than 60% of people turn to the internet for ideas and reviews before booking. Travelers in 2014 are hungry for new journeys and well informed in their decision-making.
Major travel trends this year are wellness tourism, space tourism (looks like Virgin Galactic is finally ready for takeoff) while adventure travel continues to get wilder. More changes to airports and accommodations promise to make journeys even better. Gear up, and let’s go…
