Too much time in the black, perhaps?

For fans of Joss Whedon’s long-departed-but-never-forgotten Firefly series and its final chapter, the film, Serenity (and I am one of them), here’s the ultimate homage: A seven-foot long scale model of the ship Serenity made entirely out of Legos.

Überfan Adrian Drake spent 475 hours over 21 months to build this extraordinary model. The result is a 135-pound, seven-foot long, 70,000-brick masterpiece which includes figures of Captain Mal and his renegade crew.

Like the Stars Wars crayons, I’d like to be snarky and say – way too much time on your hands – but Lego Serenity is really shiny!

If only I knew some Chinese to wrap this up. No loss, take a look at Adrian Drake’s amazing photo essay of Lego Serenity here.

Thanks sammy-soo for the much-needed Chinese exclamation.

Can you help us out here? I plugged the characters into a translation program, and “great” came up. Was that your intent?
