Stars of TCM’s summer of 2009

There are the stars and there are the “stars.” These fantastic “posters” were commissioned by Turner Classic Movies (TCM) to launch their seventh annual Summer Under the Stars. Every day, from August 1st to August 31st, TCM will run a daily marathon of films featuring one classic actor including Henry Fonda, James Coburn, Harold Lloyd, Judy Garland, Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn and Clark Gable.

Working with designers at 1Trick Pony, TCM has created 31 new posters for movies featured during the festival. Each day, a different poster highlights a signature movie. The posters are designed to look fresh and contemporary – revisiting classics and creating interest for a new audience.

Beautiful work. I would love to have one of each. 1 Trick Pony, if you’re getting rid of any press proofs…
