Stripes for the spring
With recent springtime temps In New York City, I took a long walk north on Fifth Avenue. Stripes were everywhere and I noticed that there were two kinds. Both have been around for more than 100 years. Both provide a deep emotional connection to their devoted fans and both attract a bevy of stars.
One set of stripes wooed Chanel, Dior and Balenciaga while the other wooed Gehrig, Mantle and Jackson.
Classic brands, the brown and the blue. And the stripes belong to …?

I thought this was rather interesting. I’m not into designers, nor do I live in NYC, therefore, never would have said Bendel. Really.
